A Critical Approach to the Inclusion of the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy in Active Skills for Reading: Book 1

Bloom’s Taxonomy was produced in 1956 by the educational psychologist Benjamin Bloom with aim of fostering higher order thinking skills education. In time, original taxonomy revisited applying some changes. This up to date mirrors a more active style cognition and is possibly precise. The revised one developed practicality employing action words. There are six steps cognitive domain version, levels which conceptually different. These remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, creating version they beneficial forming learning outcomes since specific verbs particularly suitable for each level. Accordingly, this paper focuses on exploring how contained reading questions an EFL course book. Therefore, two research were promoted respond taxonomy. first question aims at evaluating lower level while second hints analyzed book inquired through descriptive content analysis method. results study displayed that assessed lacks underlined Thus, related assumptions have been suggest books being or will be should refer assessing comprehension.
